Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Chocolate brownies, chicory coffee and figs. Fragrant and fruity beneath. Copes with water well which shows that behind the assertive oak there's a rich fruity depth.
Palate: Thick start before a little smoke and,as the tannins start their work, tomato puree, nuts and treacle toffee. Reminiscent of a brandy de Jerez.
Finish: Charcoal.
Comment: For the big sherried lovers.
7.8
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Fresh coffee and cooked oranges mingle with striking wood notes. Hints of dark chocolate and fig rolls.
Palate: Dense at first. Everything is packed together. Smoke gathers revealing that sweet parkin cake edge.
Finish: Sooty and earthy.
Comment: A classic example of how to use a sherry cask.
