Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very fruity. Cherries. Peaches.
Palate: Syrupy-sweet. Firm. Fruit and nuts in bitter chocolate. Toasted nuts.
Finish: Slight woody bitterness. Enough to balance the sweetness, but too little to offend.
Comment: Lovely glowing colour. A big Glenlivet, more robust than complex.
8.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Dense. Tobacco leaf, apple bowl/dried apple, stewed fruit, rum and raisin, cold tea.
Palate: Chewy, concentrated and sweet, (cream sherry?). Treacle. Big sherry influence and firm grip.
Finish: Dry bracken.
Comment: The cask overwhelms things slightly.
