Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Rich and soft with an oily feel. Raisin, dried fruits, turf, oak, malt, heavily perfumed roses, orange peel. Good balance.
Palate: Gentle, oily and soft. Macadamia nut, toffee.
Finish: Dies a little. Dried fruits.
Comment: A gentle dram from a strangely forgotten distillery. More like this please.
8.3
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Warm, sweet, nutty, appetising.
Palate: Very full flavours, beautifully rounded. Rich maltiness; orange fruit; slight smokiness; but no astringency; perfectly balanced.
Finish: Fresh, sweetish, spiciness and smoky dryness. Both restrained. Perfect balance.
Comment: All the classic flavour elements. With its character \"freshness\", Aberfeldy often shines at younger ages. Here it excels in middle age.
