Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Smoke. Char. Earthy. Rose bay willow herb.
Palate: The floweriness of Glen Albyn is dominated by musty cellar character. There is a fine line between Maderisation, positive oxidation, and stainless.
Finish: Just when I was swinging into criticism, the whisky emerged fresh, sweet, lively and delicious. Calvados? Coffee pralines. Mint creams.
Comment: Fuller in flavours, and sweeter, than I remember Glen Albyn.
7.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Quite light and pleasant: toasted nut, dried grass, sandalwood.
Palate: Attractive but not a mouth filler, instead it runs down the middle of the tongue. Well balanced though with spice, soft sweet fruit and a little toffee.
Finish: Short.
Comment: Attractive.
