Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Rich gingersnaps filled with brandy cream. Some elements of leather shoe polish and a hint of natural liquorice.
Palate: Chopped chilli, rich soy sauce, pulled pork and great oak spiciness.
Finish: Slightly oily, buttery and rich.
Comment: Caught at the right time, this maintains a balance of distillery character, cask spices and oily richness. Very good whisky making indeed.
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: An overload of dense, saturated, coffeed, first fill Oloroso. Raw but soft with walnut, prune, raisin, green nuts and astringent sour fruit and herbal notes. A touch of spice adds a little warmth.
Palate: Luscious and juicy treacle coated sherried fruit with hints of French coffee and gentle spices. Straightforward but deep.
Finish: Medium length with a very coffeed and tartly herbal finish.
Comment: A sherry monster and a half. Completely blemish free but a sherry monster nevertheless.
