Tasting notes
Taster   Annabel Meikle
Nose: Ripe plums, damsons and liqueur cherries. Walnut oil on polished wood. Raspberry chocolate. Camphor gives a musky depth to it.
Palate: Blackcurrant, liquorice, mahogany chests, candied orange peel and crème brûlée. More intense orange after time.
Finish: Deliciously rich and unctuous with a mohair touch.
Comment: It is liquid gold and very seductive!

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Complex and layered, gentle fruits at first, guava, black banana, then it moves sweeter and darker. Vanilla cream, treacle toffee and Parkin cake. Tomatoes roasted in balsamic vinegar, cedar wood pencils.
Palate: Cooked oranges, rich melted chocolate, raisins in dark chocolate. Some stewed fruits, plums and damson jam.
Finish: Sweet, caramel pennies and maple syrup. Some lovely spices just at the end too.
Comment: A stunner. Such grace and balance that comes with age and close attention.
