Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Lightly yeasty with a touch of nose burn. Little balsa wood and rice cakes with a hint of pencil eraser. Reserved and fairly cool.
Palate: Firm and very clean with a certain youthful sterility to it. Clean and a hint of floral character. Very little cask influence.
Finish: Clean, short, sherbet.
Comment: Well made spirit but maybe a more active cask would push it forwardslightly faster. But then maybe I'm just a little impatient.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Intense, yeasty, with something earthy. A garden after a violent rainfall in summer. Stagnant water. Cardboardy in time. Hint of smoke.
Palate: Sweet at start then phenolic and dry. Not much more. Still the cardboard.
Finish: Dry, slightly bitter/sour like sloes.
Comment: It needs water to cut the edges but then the cardboardy characteris enhanced.
