Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: It’s pretty zesty, with tarte au citron hints, crispy thin pastry, a little sweetness of caramel and some gingery spice.
Palate: Things definitely get more fruity here, with lemon peel, freshly baked banana bread full of chopped pecans and cinnamon and ginger spice peeking in.
Finish: The finish is lighter, with that ginger spice lingering.
Comment: This is a really vibrant whisky – it’s a lot of fun and something I’d like to revisit.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Apple and blackberry cordial, candied orange and toffee. Butterscotch on stewed plums and pears. Fruit cake packed with sultana, glace cherry, walnuts and mixed candied peels. Cigar box and praline.
Palate: Medium-full bodied, slightly oily. Teacake and marzipan. Fondant icing and stewed apples, pears and plums. A little orange oil. Bramble jam. Subtle coffee, tobacco and dark chocolate.
Finish: Long. The orchard fruits and dark chocolate linger.
Comment: A balanced and mature dram.
