Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Brioche bread and butter pudding, a hint of playdough sneaks in there. Then it’s figs and mascarpone, followed by pecan nuts and a hit of caramel sauce.
Palate: Toasty brioche this time, then rich and densely packed Christmas pudding, followed by vanilla and caramel sauce. The figs return alongside baking spices that are bringing the heat.
Finish: Rich and warming, with more fig and some heathery notes that lead into caramel.
Comment: Simply lovely and a bit of a hug in a bottle.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: A heady walk through the bazaar. Dried barberries, saffron, dried figs, dates and rose-flavoured nougat. Ricotta with dried fruits and mixed citrus peels, pastry and milk chocolate. Cannoli, anyone?
Palate: Dried cranberries and raisins. Fig and plum jam. Concentrated baked red apple, pear and brambles. Orange oils, cherry sweets and Punt e Mes vermouth.
Finish: Medium. On dried berries and roasted pistachio.
Comment: Exotic and indulgent.
