Taster Sara SmithNose:
Bright wood, raisin, plum, varnish, hazelnut, and vanilla wafer.Palate:
Strong alcohol at the beginning, with sweet, rich fruit notes quickly followed by a dry leafiness, liquorice and a hint of fennel, then a much longer, smooth note of hazelnut and other nutty, sherry flavours with just a hint of wood smoke.Finish:
Milder sherry notes, hazelnut and Brazil nut on top of richer, dark fruit notes.Comment:
If you’re a fan of the fruity, nutty notes often found in sherry, this would be a great choice, especially as an after-dinner or late-night whisky.
