Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Roast chestnut, treacle, Old English marmalade. Becomes like incense like/resinous with water. Briary notes, Turkish Delight, gingerbread and raisin, parma violet, hint of peat. Antique shop.
Palate: Quite firm, black fruits, raisin. Good grip but not too tannic. Runny toffee. Rich.
Finish: Lightly tannic autumn leaves.
Comment: Has hidden depths. Doesn't like water.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Leather, sheepskin. Sherried oak. Quickly develops on fruit. Sour apples. Stewed summer fruit. Redcurrants and raspberry.
Palate: Sweet, winey. Slightly watery at mid-palate. Becomes oaky.
Finish: Oaky but not dry. Rather short.
Comment: To be enjoyed like a glass of port. Bring walnuts and blue cheese.
