Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Crunchy toasted oats and vanilla yoghurt, dark caramel sauce. Plenty of sherry notes here, soaked sponge fingers. Dried black cherries and a little orange peel. Also a tin of butterscotch sweets.
Palate: Big sweetness first up, then a hazelnut or Brazil nut-edge takes over. A little white pepper all wrapped with a light blanket of peat smoke. A whiff of tobacco too and then the oak spices grip.
Finish: Quite long, lingers with an oiliness. Then dries with that tobacco note.
Comment: A serious bit of a sherry bomb.

Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: Hot cross buns, dehydrated orange and Madagascan vanilla custard form a sensational juicy, warm consistency. There’s sweetness here with cola cubes, cassia bark and then raspberry creamola foam.
Palate: Does exactly what it says on the tin. Warm and buttery with soft leather, mandarin spongecake, mocha and a dusting of nutmeg. A touch of earthy smoke and praline pecans.
Finish: Dry and spicy with a leathery quality to the finish.
Comment: I repeat. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
