Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Big with plenty going on. A note reminicent of hot doughnuts with rasperry jam and covered in icing sugar. Then a little burned, toasted oak comes through.
Palate: Big again with custard and stewed peaches, Grilled pineapples drizzled with honey and cinnamon. A little smoke too.
Finish: Short, a little smoke and honey sweetness, a hit if menthol as well.
Comment: Brilliant stuff, nicely balanced between what seems like a cask finish and a great peat level.

Taster   Mark Newton
Nose: Oof, lots to like – buttery, bready, yeastiness mingling with those rich dried fruits of sultanas and figs. Strawberry jam on toast. Milk chocolate. Oranges.
Palate: Creamy, oily, with plenty of ginger warmth and custard. Strawberry jam and vanilla. Parmaviolets and dried apricots. Sultanas – plenty of those – and salted caramel.
Finish: Short, but very pleasing, with the parmaviolets and strawberry notes at the end.
Comment: Just a lovely everyday dram – essential for the cabinet.
