Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Rubbery. Full display of sherry notes. Sulphur, burnt tyre. Coffee beans. The fruit emerges slowly. Candied lemon and orange. With a sour note. Dried cranberries. Orange juice.
Palate: Smooth. Sweet oakiness immediately followed by a spicy burst. Red chilli, nutmeg. Mint chocolate.
Finish: Fizzy, spicy, warm with a sweet fruit note.
Comment: A beautiful beast which will be a delight for the “sherry tooth”.
8.2
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Silky, bouncy and fruity with a raffia/grassy quality. Positive nuttiness. Water brings out a pleasant inner-tube rubberiness. An earthy depth and a touch of mulberry.
Palate: Big, weighty spirit with sweet and very ripe overtones. Holds together well though there’s just a slight sour edge. Touch of smoke. Bigger than the nose suggests.
Finish: Long and soft.
Comment: A palate whisky.
