Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Dunnage warehouses, raspberry jam and crumpets. Fresh buttered ryebread develops.
Palate: Bread crusts, sweet water biscuits, a little spice, trail mix.
Finish: Juicy fruits and quite long, spices build at the end.
Comment: A Rothes for before dinner, a conversational whisky.
8.2
Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Early must, then malt. Greasy brown paper too.
Palate: Malt carries over from the nose, with ginger and dried fruits.
Finish: Lots of spice and caramel, then subtle oak tannins.
Comment: Drinkable enough, but marked down for its 'fousty' nose.
