Tasting notes
Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Brittle toffee, orange, lemons, ginger and new leather, plus hazelnuts and slight salt.
Palate: Viscous, with oranges, cinnamon, vanilla toffee and spicy oak.
Finish: Toffee, allspice and black pepper.
Comment: Soft and rounded – a step up from Manse Reserve in being very nearly the complete article.
8.3
Taster   Joe Bates
Nose: Sweet sherry hits the nose first, then honey and dried fruits.
Palate: Oily on the palate with a powerful hit of spice: hot cloves and pepper, but also sweet nutmeg and cinnamon.
Finish: Very long and quite sweet.
Comment: A warming winter whisky, balancing spicy and sweeter notes nicely.
