Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Some deliciously sweet nutty caramel (hugely reminiscent of a Toffee Crumble ice cream I am particularly partial to.) This is interlaced with a waft of very delicate hickory note, some toasted malt and caramel sauce.
Palate: Not at all how I imagined it to taste. Quite dry, with raisins, oak chippings, a little caramel and a thread of orange zest.
Finish: The dried fruit notes are the most prominent, leading to a slightly oaky finish.
Comment: The nose wins out here, perhaps hinting at what might have been…
7.6
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Caramac bar, marzipan and white icing, with hints of cheap vanilla ice cream.
Palate: Astringent and earthy, with tones of parmesan cheese, basil, fennel and a hint of dry earth.
Finish: A longish finish which gives more of the palate, backed with some black pepper.
Comment: A little unbalanced and erratic, not a dram for me.
