Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Tinned apricot, pears roasted in golden syrup, fruit flan (grapes, apples, strawberries, kiwi) and tamarind caramels. Brown sugar pastry twists and some delicate tangerine and ephemeral florals. An almost Marmite-esque yeastiness, too.
Palate: Light bodied. A cohesive wave of over-ripe pear and the fruit flan from the nose, joined by well-fired crème brûlée top and some delicate tannins.
Finish: Medium, fading on green apple skin.
Comment: A superlative nose is followed by an enjoyable and balanced palate.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Sweet, plump and juicy raisins covered in brandy cream. Very oily, leaning towards a slice of toasted fruit loaf.
Palate: Things heat up a little on the palate, with chunks of ginger in syrup, more raisins, then a homemade apple pie that’s covered in custard.
Finish: Lingering pastry notes, with the baking spices lingering.
Comment: There’s plenty of complexity here, but it’s also just a bit of a sweet treat to simply enjoy.
