Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Freshly baked Basque cherry tart, sliced almonds, dough, white chocolate buttons, sandalwood and apricot, with a hint of heather.
Palate: Sweet red berry compote, rich thick-cut orange marmalade spread on rye toast. Vanilla custard and cloves.
Finish: Nutmeg spice and mincemeat on a medium-length finish.
Comment: This would be the perfect dram after a long winter’s day: complex, warming and full of richness.
8.4
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Baked red apple with brown sugar, umeshu plums and a hint of spearmint. Furniture polish and dark chocolate truffle, digestive biscuit and orange oils.
Palate: Medium-light bodied. Well-integrated ripe orchard fruits and brambles, golden syrup and pie crust. Candied pecans and milk chocolate.
Finish: Long, with the fruit, chocolate and nut medley playing out to the end.
Comment: Well balanced, well integrated, and overall rather lovely.
