Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Moss and earthy peat, artificial note of fruit pastilles, a little orange blossom, heather, and edge of sun tan oil.
Palate: Delightfully peated, with an edge of coffee grounds and mint. Very smooth, with a hint of fennel bringing some toasted warmth, charcoal and syrupy ginger notes.
Finish: Medium, with that minted peat and chewed coffee bean.
Comment: This is a bit of me – it’s delicate and balanced enough that you aren’t blown away by peat, getting the full spectrum of flavour.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Delicate wood smoke and eucalyptus, peppermint leaf and cut flower stems. Icing sugar and grist, freshly baked white bread with honey. Pistachio butter.
Palate: Gentle smoke. Anise and almond flakes. Pear drop and lime juice, with sourdough and delicate menthol too. Smoked vanilla cake with icing sugar dusting.
Finish: Medium length. Fades on sweet, delicate anise notes.
Comment: This is a delicate and pleasing peated malt that holds up very well in the glass.
