Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Starts off pretty woody with pencil shavings and dunnage warehouses. Then some citrus comes through and toffee pennies. A little acetone, pear drops and 35mm film cases. Oranges and clove spices.
Palate: Malty, plenty of barley and praline. Chocolate Tracker bars. Cinder toffee bars with dark chocolate. There's a little esteryness here, apples and green bananas. The wood smoke comes through.
Finish: Dries quickly leaving trail mix.
Comment: A well put together drop, balancing that oak and smoke.

Taster Lyndsey Gray

Nose: This is a summer breeze and a perfectly thought out fruit salad. Light and fresh with soft tones of marzipan, meringue, strawberries, coconut oil, kiwi and ripe bananas.
Palate: The soft marzipan at the forefront with a charred and bitter note. Still fruity but it loses intensity and disappears behind the buttery almond texture.
Finish: Juicy and delightful to start with but falls flat quickly.
Comment: Promising and well balanced but doesn’t exceed expectations.
