Tasting notes

Taster Phoebe Calver

Nose: Rich and complex shot of coffee. Rum-soaked raisins in a rum and raisin cheesecake. Some chocolate-covered almonds appear alongside toasted notes.
Palate: Brioche bread and butter pudding studded with raisins, thick vanilla cream and red berry compote, alongside an Espresso Martini note.
Finish: Continuing bitter coffee is smoothed out by creamy chocolate and vanilla.
Comment: This is like a delicious and punchy pudding in a whisky – delicate and complex.

Taster Christopher Coates

Nose: Raisins, milk chocolate, pear liqueur, candied apple, candied ginger, cinnamon toast, and some delicate violet florals. Peanut butter and dates, too.
Palate: Chocolate-coated raisins, peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwich, and toffee apple. Werther’s Originals (caramels) and Christmas fruit cake with candied nuts.
Finish: Medium, on chewy fudge and fruit cake.
Comment: A festive dessert. Elegant, yummy, and just a bit indulgent.
