Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Lightly perfumed: fondant icing, sweet cereal, apricot jam, clove, almost like a light gold rum. Drier and grassier with water.
Palate: Silky. Nut and vanilla. Dries nicely in the middle. Flowers and spiciness on the back palate.
Finish: Soft and malty.
Comment: Just enough oak for structure. A real surprise for a distillery which can often be pretty bland.
7.8
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Orange-flavoured boiled sweets. Citric but dry.
Palate: Orangey, resiny, but somehow constrained. Attenuated. Cork-like woodiness.
Finish: Musty. Quick.
Comment: Tamdhu is a pleasant, polite, whisky. Does it really have the stamina for such a marathon maturation?
7.8
