Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Bramble jam, treacle, ginger cake, and almond flour. Raspberries. Delicate cinnamon spice and a touch of nuttiness (hazelnut).
Palate: Medium bodied, but slightly oily. Orange cordial, blackcurrant jam, delicate candied ginger and a touch of milk chocolate. Very delicate Christmas spices. A subtle breadiness behind all the fruit.
Finish: Medium. The fruit medley fades on the orange.
Comment: Fruit forward and well balanced.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Gentle spice in rye pancakes with vanilla cream and chocolate chips. Sugar snap peas, cinnamon stick and warm hazelnut milk.
Palate: Sweet mangoes in syrup, cinnamon sprinkled over waffles, treacle and orange rind. Drying rye bread and butter pudding, with a lot of butter and rum-soaked raisins.
Finish: Those rye pancakes and rummy raisins linger before it all dries up.
Comment: I love the balance of sweet and spice – perhaps a little wood-heavy, but punchy and intriguing.
