Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: An attractive, bemusing array of oaky notes running from almost imperceptible rice paper to sub-bourbony toasty, liquorice.
Palate: A sweet, spicy start that evolves into a deeply sweet and malty middle with a touch of honey.
Finish: Comparatively quick and thin, returning to the oaky theme.
Comment: One of the better North Port's you'll find: later distillations were not even remotely in this class.
8.3
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Scenty, dry, sharp. Slightly metallic. Passion fruit.
Palate: Fruit salad, with pineapples and bananas. Custard. Crystallised oranges.
Finish: Gingery. Cloves. Warm.
Comment: Much the best North Port I have tasted.
