Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Peach jam. Crème brûlée. Some fragrant smokiness.
Palate: Smooth. Soothing. Very spicy. Scottish tablet. Dusty. A little oaky, but not excessively so.
Finish: Smoky. Long, warming.
Comment: A heavily sherried whisky that is nonetheless surprisingly lively for its age.
8.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: A rich slippery nose. Gives little away without water. When added there's butter tablet mixed with dried fruit, burning leaves and walnut whip.
Palate: Big European oak cask influence making it a pretty tannic experience. The impression is of a bowl of nuts and overripe fruit/dates.
Finish: Dry and a little smoky.
Comment: Full-on but distillery character is obliterated
