Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Weetabix with chocolate nibs, fresh peach, dried fruit notes of papaya, a little apricot, fresh vanilla cream and a toffee tang. Blackcurrant and spice.
Palate: Light at first, bringing gentle milky Horlicks to the fore. Not massively open initially, then honey spread on cinnamon-sprinkled French toast. Sliced peaches, pear and melon in a bowl with some syrup. It’s delicate with just enough spice.
Finish: Relatively sweet and with malted cereal on the medium finish.
Comment: It’s a nice whisky that takes a little while to open up.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Fresh blueberries with fromage frais and a drizzle of blossom honey. White bread, and ripe pears. Stewed apple with cinnamon on creamy porridge.
Palate: Medium body. Sweet and somewhat creamy. Those honey notes lead with ripe red apple and pears dusted with cinnamon. There’s a suggestion of tangerine and grapefruit segments.
Finish: Medium-short and sweetly fruity.
Comment: The very definition of a breakfast whisky. Now for a cuppa.
