Tasting notes
Taster   Kate Packwood
Nose: Brown sugar and honey baked ham. Cherry cough sweets, chai latte, then chocolate covered ginger, rich fruit cake, dried apricots and a hint of baked apple, and then sulphur.
Palate: Very sweet with honey leading, then cherry pie and a bitter note like angostura, a hint of orange rind and then grapefruit.
Finish: Deeply sweet and medicinal, like cough syrup.
Comment: Sulphur and medicinal sweetness, with water some sweetness is teased out, flavours of Terry’s chocolate orange.
7.3
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Massive sherry notes, matchbox sulphur and burnt wood. A little engine oil and damp denim. Floor polish and fresh lacquered oak tables. Autumnal notes.
Palate: Mouth puckering and taste bud beating sherry notes, huge orange tannins and sherbet. Over stewed tea and bitter marmalade too.
Finish: Clove and chilli numbing spices, tea tannins pull at the cheeks and dry slowly.
Comment: Like a mechanics overalls. Water serves to ramp up the oil and sulphur.
