Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Big and grumbly, hitting a balance between roasted notes, meat, walnut and butter, heather and lilac.
Palate: Rich, with good weight. Chestnut, toffee, marmite. Dries towards the finish.
Finish: Dry and nutty.
Comment: Great balance, the distillery character not dominated by the cask. Slightly more restrained than the Signatory example.
8.8
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Gently spicy.
Palate: Sweet. Seems rather simple at first, but gently reveals a complex of spicy flavours.
Finish: Big, sweet, barley-sugar rush.
Comment: The first bottling from The Wee Dram. A promising debut.
