Tasting notes
Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: Medicinal notes of TCP and plasticine gradually develop alongside lime zest, peanut butter, icing sugar and banoffee pie with a sprinkling of chimney soot.
Palate: Waves of charcoal and tobacco ash crash against juicy citrus fruits, watermelon and Cola. Smoky bacon and black pudding smothered in maple syrup served up with freshly brewed coffee.
Finish: Light and juicy with a sooty ash overpowering the finish.
Comment: A Canadian breakfast served up in a hospital bed.
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Could smell the peat smoke coming off this as it was poured. Roasted barley, smoked salmon, burning logs. Smoked sea salt, brown potted shrimps. A hint of melon and a little orange flavoured fudge.
Palate: Rubbery, smoked salmon, griddled pineapple. Burnt pork ends, a little bacon fat. All of this is swamped by ash and used log burners, and it keeps building up.
Finish: Short, fiery and peppery.
Comment: A huge bag of smoke. Lacks balance and finesse, very linear. One for the peat heads.
