Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Sulphur/coal gas, rubber, prune, walnut, clove, Christmas cake, cold tea, fig, coffee, chicory, dark chocolate and autumn bonfires.
Palate: An immediate hit of bitter chocolate, dried fig then some rich, powerful dried fruit. Good texture.
Finish: Slightly bitter.
Comment: An espresso coffee going straight into the veins. Astonishing, but for sherry freaks only.
8.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Nutty, leafy. Toasted. Charred oak.
Palate: Medicinal. Syrupy. Still some sweetness and juicy nuttiness, but quickly overwhelmed by the oak.
Finish: Long and warming, but some burnt astringency.
Comment: With water, more toffeish malt notes emerge in the middle, but the wood is very dominating.
