Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Icing sugar coated citrus. Hints of light coffee and herbal infused sub-tropical fruit. Lovely maturity and elegance with a touch of grilled nuts.he oak become dusty in character.
Palate: Lightly honeyed, sub-tropical fruit. Nutty, lightly coffeed with hints of dried apple, dark chocolate and treacle. It gets darker and maltier and a Cognac-esque, oxidised fruit rancio becomes evident.
Finish: Damn good! Exceedingly long with the coffee spices and beautiful dried fruit notes lingering.
Comment: One word - Stunning!
9.4
Taster   Annabel Meikle
Nose: Baked plums and fig jam. Pumpkin pie, physalis and tangerine with fresh oak. Water develops orange turn over cake, dark butterscotch sauce and warm, damp leather.
Palate: Very warming and quite savoury like bresaola. Spicier fruit notes of orange and grapefruit peel. A slow burn with brown toast and plum jam, cardamom in the finish.
Finish: Masculine and earthy, and yet refined. Sizzling over the tongue, long and satisfying.
Comment: This is a wonderful bottling. It has the suave and brooding character of Mr Fox in Jemima Puddleduck.
