Tasting notes
Taster   Arthur Motley
Nose: Succulent esters, with pear drops and crépe suzette. Also strawberry, violet, lime and sherbert. Some luscious coffee fudge, ginger and vanilla.
Palate: Chocolate, bourbon, oak and perhaps a little ashy peat.
Finish: Dry and subtly spicy.
Comment: A complex, aged and vibrantly mature Speyside. Very good.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: At first, turpentine spirit and linseed oil - studio aromas - punctuated by spearmint? Menthol? Juicy fruit gum? Cointreau?
Palate: Astringent and a little salty. Cough mixtures. Dense treacle toffee.
Finish: Burnt pastry. Not quite as oily as one might have expected. Eucalyptus notes with water.
Comment: An extremely complex - and for me, pleasant - nose is matched by a dense and demanding palate.
