Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Very precise and biscuity, coal dust, light dried mint then thyme.
Palate: A soft smooth flow showing good maturity and complexity. Fine spread of flavours. Caramelised apple.
Finish: Long, teasing.
Comment: This shows the delicate savoury spiciness of age. Good.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Old oak floor. Antique shop. Varnish and a hint of burnt plastic. Touch of linseed. Nutmeg. Cooked plums. Orange marmalade. Complex.
Palate: Assertive bit with a good integration of oak. Layers of liquorice, fruit and toffee lusciously intertwining.
Finish: Oaky, bold. Walnut come back.
Comment: A muscular yet elegant old malt. Brisk and complex. Alcohol is somewhat insistent.
