Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Rich, thick and concentrated. Like stumbling into a warm fuggy pub after a long walk over the hills: tobacco, lanolin, Madeira, smoke.
Palate: Big fruit, smoke and firm wood makes for a serious impact. Robust and rugged but with a sweet centre. For those who like 'em BIG, smoky and sherried.
Finish: Long, drying, slightly tannic.
Comment: More Motorhead than Mozart.
7.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Extreme resin. Pitch pine. Railway sleepers.
Palate: The chestnut colour is a warning. Although the spirit is very lively, and toffeeish fruitiness and spiciness manage to put in an appearance, none of these flavours can fully express themselves under the burden of such sherry and wood.
Finish: Woody, astringent.
Comment: For the collector.
