Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Gorgeously malty nose, like malted milk biscuits dipped in Horlicks. Then a hint of peach, with honey, green tomato stalks, and rum and raisin cheesecake.
Palate: Metallic initially, with sherried raisins, more of the Horlicks and honey snap cinnamon biscuits. Toasted rye bread and 80 per cent dark chocolate.
Finish: Tangy and spiced on the medium to long finish, with malted herbal notes lingering.
Comment: It has some spice about it, and lovely character that continues to develop throughout.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Spiritous and quite closed. Nail varnish remover, pear drop, and vanilla. Some green apple.
Palate: Light. Grainy and sweet. Pear drop, green apple skin, vanilla and icing sugar. Some sweet sponge cake and golden syrup. A little bit of cinnamon and white chocolate.
Finish: Short. On vanilla syrup, before drying out to powdered sugar.
Comment: No faults as such, but I’m struggling to find anything beyond very simple flavours.
