Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Pungent and sweet at the same time. Rich caramel, cloved orange. Mint toffee. Then a big whiff of cloves comes back. Like in a Jamaican rum.
Palate: Sweet at start but the alcohol gives a kick. Though not in an aggressive way. Excellent balance with the nose.Spicy (cloves again, liquorice and aniseed).
Finish: Warm but again, a sweet balance.
Comment: The dram to taste after a visit to the dentist's. Water soothes the alcohol down and keeps the spicy profile up.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Sweet baby Jesus what's this?! An extraordinary aromatic nose: Peychaud bitters, spun sugar, rosewater, Oddfellows (cinnamon sweets) and, weirdly, freshly applied varnish. A ready-made cocktail (just add ice).
Palate: That alcohol will sear your tastebuds so add some ice.The flavour brings to mind cough medicine (this is not bad thing).Intense is the word.
Finish: Spicy.
Comment: Wild at heart. Bonkers.
