Tasting notes
Taster   Becky Paskin
Nose: Popped corn, smothered with cinnamon-spiced caramel. Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, buttery sweetcorn and a paper bag filled with toasted coconut flakes.
Palate: Sweet and easy-going. Buttery sweetcorn on toast, with a side helping of hot, runny custard. Pipe tobacco and leather add edge and bite.
Finish: Toasted oak that is both warming and very comforting.
Comment: Clean and robust, this is a well-balanced entry-level Bourbon that’s not overwhelmed by oak.
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Hot cornbread and butter, on a very hot iron skillet so you get that lovely metallic edge. Honey and roasted almonds. Plenty of oak with vanilla and cream.
Palate: Glacé cherries, marzipan and ground almond pastry. More honey sweetness with cinnamon spices and white pepper. Griddled chilli heat and spice, but also that sweetness before the heat hits.
Finish: Spicy and delightful. Takes its time drying out leaving cherry sweetness behind.
Comment: Like a liquid version of a Bakewell tart. If Mr Kipling did Bourbon.
