Tasting notes
Taster   Mark Newton
Nose: Beguiling peaches in cream. Butterscotch. Heather honey. Barley sugar. Toffee. Dried apricots, sultanas and mixed peel. Most attractive.
Palate: Velvety texture, a creaminess and strawberries. Wine-like – hints of Armagnac. Warming spices, cloves, ginger, with some orange marmalade and black tea.
Finish: Chewy, plump and fruity, with the ginger and orange notes mingling with tobacco. Excellent.
Comment: Classic flavours, beautifully expressed, with a bit of oomph. Much to love.

Taster   Laura Foster
Nose: Lovely stone fruits (fresh apricot and peach) meet with plastic bags and rubber. A slick of minerality in the form of wet pebbles.
Palate: Medium bodied and chalky textured, with fresh nectarine and apricot mixing with warmer, sweeter notes of dark chocolate, candied orange, dried apricot and cinnamon.
Finish: A lick of salt and grass lifts at the end, along with chocolate and lots of apricot.
Comment: The colour of this is pretty unusual – a pale burnished copper with a pink tinge. Overall a light, fruity dram with good grip.
