Tasting notes
Taster   Laura Foster
Nose: Subtle and pleasant freshly laundered sheets, vanilla, cinnamon and sponge cake. Just be sure not to get crumbs on the bed… Sun-warmed field of freshly harvested hay. How’s that for a non-sequitur?
Palate: Freshly baked fairy cakes with butter cream icing. Cream soda and fresh pineapple, not to mention a fizzy quinine/tonic tinge.
Finish: The soft vanilla takes on a greener edge.
Comment: You have to search for the flavours past the vanilla, but they’re definitely there.

Taster   Mark Newton
Nose: Gentle notes of green apples and pears. A nuttiness; cashews, hazelnuts, with a lovely praline core. Dried tea. Porridge. Husky, with dried hops and pot ale.
Palate: Oily texture, with creamy buttermilk. Tangerines, kiwi fruit and melons, falling to a soft grassy core. Syrup and ground almonds, with milk chocolate. Wood tannins show. Custard. Floral honey.
Finish: Flashes of lemon meringue pie, but falls back to a pepperiness.
Comment: Well blended, but I don’t think the starting malt has much to work with.
