Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Full, mature and complex. Malty with sugary baked exotic fruit and vanilla oak. Dense Armagnac dried fruits, treacle and sherry spices. Balanced with liquorice, coffee, dark honey and tart citrus.
Palate: Mature and malty. Honey and heather with light treacle, sherry spice, baked fruit and cocoa. Fresh citrus cleans and ushers in the sawdusty American oak.
Finish: Long and vivacious with the American and European oak in superb balance. Lingering dark honey and dark chocolate.
Comment: A magical mix of Bourbon and sherry matured spirit.

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Upside down cake, a huge dollop of freshly squeezed pineapple juice, red bull, basil and thyme. A nice balance.
Palate: There is a sweetness to this which is rather delicious, and not too sickly. Dusted fresh doughnuts, and cigar casing. Really quite an appetising palate.
Finish: Sweet and full of fresh orchard fruits.
Comment: A really lovely whisky which isn’t going to break new ground but at the right price point could be a staple of many people’s cabinets.
