Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Elegant orchard fruits. Tarte tatin, rock buns with mixed peels, and crisp green apple. A little crème pâtissière, with white grape and kiwi.
Palate: Medium bodied. Lots of fresh nectarine, tinned apricot and a little lemon curd. The rock buns are back, with the mixed peel very evident.
Finish: Medium-short. Peanut builds for a delicate finish.
Comment: A textbook Highlander.

Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Sweet nuttiness of almond croissant paste, slight nail polish remover, creamy rice pudding and gooseberries.
Palate: More of that nuttiness, waxy almond oil, pencil eraser and warming nutmeg. Fiery ginger and toasted brioche. There are green stalks too.
Finish: Nutmeg spice lingers, with toasted oak and a green bite.
Comment: A lot of promise and great if you love nuts as it’s pretty bold with that. Perhaps a little one dimensional, but still an enjoyable sip.
