Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Malty and oaky. Wet leaves, damp soil. A musty note. On time, a creamy noteof hazelnut fudge.
Palate: Silky. Sweet and mellow. Oak is better integrated than on the nose. Citrussy. Marmalade. Buttery. Shortbread. Drying on spices. Candied ginger. Hint of walnut.
Finish: Warm, dry and spicy.
Comment: The nose is slightly austere but the palate delivers rich fruity flavours elegantly framed by oak.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: A little grubby at first, wet mushy moss, earthy then a grape stalk note emerges. Sweetens up with time, sugar almonds and cork boards.
Palate: A little leathery, there is a wine tannin feel to it. Buttery shortbread sweetness, cooked oranges and a slight herbal note.
Finish: Long and spices emerge.
Comment: Well put together, but that nose does not belie what the palate delivers.
