Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Wine gum sweets, rubber tyres, coals on a barbeque. Bright hayloft and pistachios, followed by tropical rich mango and pineapple.
Palate: Slight edge of Fisherman’s Friend, more tropical fruit, corn on the cob and sweet ginger spice. Orange and almond cake round it out.
Finish: Quite metallic with almond sweetness, then, oddly, Bovril.
Comment: Really intriguing and full of surprises, certainly one I’d like to sit and sip at a summer barbeque.
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Summery florals and grassy notes are joined by vanilla ice cream and maple syrup. Cream cheese and physalis, with a little millionaire shortbread.
Palate: Very light bodied. Overripe apples, pears and strawberries are backed by delicate notes of sesame snap bar and chewy toffees. A little golden syrup and milk chocolate.
Finish: Medium-short, with dessert sweetness fading to apple skin.
Comment: A well-balanced crowd pleaser with big flavours and some complexity.
