Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Toasted pine nuts give way to vanilla and some chopped basil. This is a classic whisky nose, which has a good balance of age and spirit.
Palate: There are citrus fruits hidden behind the malty palate, giving oranges at first followed by lemons and lime. The result is a curious mix, akin to barley water. Nice.
Finish: It’s a very oily dram that finishes with a massive floral hit of white flowers and Parma Violets.
Comment: A nice, easy drinking whisky, if not a little oily for me.

Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: That’s an odd nose! Very perfumed white fruit, rose petals, raspberry mousse and celery. Even the oak has a perfumed sheen but with water a little edgy barley note appears.
Palate: Very sweet and plenty of barley. Heavy on the perfumed rose petals, raspberries in syrup and vanilla oak. The alcohol is sort of keeping it in check and when diluted it becomes too sweet.
Finish: Medium length with peppery rose petal notes lingering. Water brings out the bitter oak.
Comment: It’s Auchentoshan on steroids!
