Tasting notes
Taster   Dominic Roskrow
Nose: Rich, deep, Christmas cake, wood polish, sandalwood.
Palate: Big hit of oak and spice, prunes, dark chocolate and oak. Then more wood.
Finish: Long, dry and spicy. Oh, and did I mention the oak?
Comment: Not for the fainthearted. For the Kill Bill, vindaloo and extreme wrestling person in your life.
8.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Big, upfront with masses of vanilla overlaying the inevitable spiciness. Huge, sweet and powerful. Picks up an almost dried fruit depth in time. With water a scented dustiness gives it a lift.
Palate: Grainy texture. Heat and oaky grip. Cherryade but the aromatic edge carries through well. Zesty.
Finish: Good length. Oaky.
Comment: Not exactly subtle, but has a certain bruising charm.
