Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Sweet and light. There’s toasted oats and salted peanuts, but with a dried earthy note too. Dark brown melting sugar with butter and grilled peaches.
Palate: All that sweetness rolls in, fruity edges with vanilla custard. Warm croissants and apricot jam. A little spicy, cinnamon chewing gum. Then a salt-laced vanilla tablet. Milk chocolate and raisins.
Finish: Once more sweetness all the way.
Comment: Wonderful stuff, like walking into a grain store in the summer. Fabulous.

Taster Becky Paskin

Nose: Light and grassy, with an essence of hay and dried malt, but there’s also a rich creaminess to it in buttery caramels and toffee sauce.
Palate: Silky soft, that butteriness continues through into caramel and melting muscovado sugar. Some gentle spice builds in the middle, giving a creamy yet floral delicacy.
Finish: Butter melting in a pan, just starting to caramelise. A vase of freshly cut flowers stands nearby.
Comment: Licking freshly churned butter from your fingers in the middle of a wheat field.
