Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Dry and biscuity with a vegetable note here as well - more turnip than cabbage. Raffia and wet wood. Burnt toast with peach jam. A pleasing waxiness comes with water.
Palate: Gentle and creamy. Florals and soft fruits with a balancing crunch of malt
Finish: Light and soft.
Comment: Well assembled and while you see the joins when it is neat, water makes itmore coherent.
7.8
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Fruity. Apples and pears (more the skin than the flesh).Shortcake. Quite buttery. Opens on soft nutty notes. Fresh almond, pistachio.
Palate: Fluid. Sweet at first but develops on crisp oaky flavours. Spices arrive in a big wave and linger. Dry maltiness. Sweeter with water.
Finish: Dry, narrow, spicy.
Comment: A deceptive sweetness on the nose that is defeated by an obvious oakiness. Water gives a better balance. But the palate lacks subtlety.
