Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Pungent, intense, almost balsamic. Soot/wood embers, canvas, a hint of Arbroath smokie and grassy like a peat bank. Hairy chested.
Palate: Rounded with good weight and depth. Seaweedy and lightly medicinal, hint of cattlecake. The firm centre is tempered by cooked orchard fruit.
Finish: Sweet and slightly nutty. Smoke. Oatcake.
Comment: A punchy, deep malt. Good balance.

Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Peat smoke, wet moss, scorched timber.
Palate: Intense peat, seaweed, and dry, sooty oak. Cooked fruits struggling to come through.
Finish: Long and smoky.
Comment: Powerful, pungent malt with everything an Islay enthusiast would wish for.
