Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: A gorgeous combination of peaches and vanilla cream, with a spicy hit of cinnamon spice, orchard fruits and stem ginger biscuits.
Palate: That warming spice continues to grow, bringing rye, followed by mascarpone with fig and almond butter over green apple slices.
Finish: Nice and long, with gently easing heat and lashings of vanilla cream icing.
Comment: A spicy little number, yet completely in control of itself and remains balanced enough to enjoy every aspect.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Apricot jam and raspberry fromage frais, like Petit Filous. Layered honey cake. Bready, like wholemeal fresh out of the oven with butter.
Palate: Full. Intense heather honey and whipped vanilla cream. Poached pear tart. Sweet cereals, like a bowl of glazed granola with sultanas. Subtle peanut and apricot jam-filled croissant. Tapioca pearls with brown sugar.
Finish: Medium-long, on brown sugar and sweet, chewy cereals.
Comment: A garden party dessert table with cake and cranachan.
